Ramp Riot 2007

rampriot07

Ramp Riot is now one of the largest off-season events in the nation and has grown from a seven-team scrimmage in a lonely undecorated gym to a 36-team extravaganza in one of the most spirited high school gyms you’ll ever be in for a day. The event draws more than 2,500 spectators and FRC® teams from seven East Coast states. For the second year, 20 local FTC® teams were able to practice and compete down the hall from Ramp Riot in Wissahickon’s cafeteria. Local bands, face painters, and 93.3 WMMR added to the excitement of the competition and gave Ramp Riot the atmosphere of a real FIRST® regional. This year, teams and audience members alike were delighted that Philadelphia’s own Phillie Phanatic stopped by to entertain and cheer on the robots as they battled it out.
